"It ends now." Megabyte said, extending the claws on his hand. Suddenly, a ship flew by, dropping beacons in front of Megabyte. "WHAT?" Megabyte yelled.

The guardian's keytool twitched and beeped. A message was being transmitted. I heard the Command.com's voice: "Senders in place. Firewall ready. Awaiting your command, guardian."

Enzo looked around as if unsure of what to say. He said, "Glitch, uh, firewall" The Principal Office shields powered down, then the beacons came to life. What looked like a firewall was spreading around G-Prime!

Now Megabyte would never get me!

"Everyone, get back!" Enzo yelled.

Before I could begin celebrating, two robotic hands, Hack and Slash, grabbed me and dragged me across the firewall, trapping me with Megabyte.

The firewall closed behind me. Hexadecimal laughed and said something I didn't quite catch, then Megabyte screamed something unintelligible.

"Look what we did, boss!"

"Yes, look at us."

"Not at us, at him!"

"That is what I said."

"No, you said, 'look at us'."

"I do not think that is what I said."

"I remember it clear-"

"Will you imbe-" He started. When he looked at me, a small smile crossed his face. "So nice of you to stop by, Cyrus." That's when I fainted.

I woke up in darkness. I frantically tried to look around, but it was no use. I was blind! BLIND! "AAAAHHH!!! I'm BLIND!!!!" I felt around, trying to figure out where I was. I saw a sliver of light in the distance. Then, a door swung open, flooding the cell with light. So I wasn't blind after all. I decided to keep a better hold on my sanity; I didn't want to lose it forever. The idea of my sanity running away was funny, so I laughed.

When I noticed my grip was slipping again, I stopped laughing, and looked toward the open door.

Six viral binomes stood in the doorway, and Hack and Slash. The Binomes surged into the room, energy scepters held ready, as if I would try anything now. The idea of that was so funny I had to strain to keep from laughing. Hack and Slash also stepped forward.

"You will be coming with us."

"Yes, come with us."

"I already said that part!"

"I know, I was saying it again."

"Well stop that!"

"Sorry."

"Ahem, as I was saying, you will be coming with us."

I started to shake. I didn't want to go with them. "NO!!!" I cried, and turned around, trying to find a way out of the cell. When I hit the wall, I frantically clawed at it, trying to dig away out. "No! You can't take me! You can't!!!!"

"Go get him!"

"Me? Why should I? We brought troops."

"I was talking to the troops!"

"Oh. Okay then. Go get him!"

I felt hands grabbing at me. "Let me go!" I screamed, but they overpowered me. I was pulled from the wall. One of the viral binomes shocked me with the energy scepter, then everything went black again.

When I awoke, I was being chained to...something. I couldn't tell, I was still groggy from the shock. I couldn't see who was chaining me either.

The only thing I was really aware of was a dull banging, which could have been in my own head. My head started to clear up when I heard Hack and Slash talking.

"Look, just press the button."

"I don't want to press the button."

"Just press the button!"

"But every time I press a button something horrible happens."

"Uh, Slash?"

"What?"

"THAT'S THE IDEA!!!"

By this time, I had noticed the trash compactor and had deduced what was going to happen when they pressed that button. I decided to use this break in their conversation about buttons to state my position on the matter. "Um, excuse me! But I'm really quite comfortable, you could just leave me here."

Hack and Slash stared at me as if just realizing I was there. "Where were we?"

"We were talking about buttons."

"You're right. So, who pressed the last button?"

"Me. So it's your turn."

"You're sure?"

"Yep."

"Really sure?"

"Yep."

"Really really really sure?"

"Uh...well...uh..."

"Okay, I'll press the button!"

The red one, Hack (or was it Slash?) pressed the button, and the mechanism I was chained to started moving towards the trash compactor.

"Oh, um, if I could....oh dear." And then I screamed.

At the last second, the blue one saved me. "I cannot do this," he said. "It is bad."

"What do you think you're doing?" the other one asked.

"I am saving the little fellow from, what to me, looks like certain death."

"Yeah, that's right. And we're supposed to be that certain death!"

"Go little fellow," The blue one said again, pushing me. "Run, be free!"

I didn't need to be told twice. I took off in the opposite direction, not looking back once. I didn't stop until I reached the edge of the firewall. Frantically I tried to get past it, I even attempted to go through it, with shocking results (quite literally). I ran all the way around, screaming "I'm trapped! Trapped and I can't get out! I can't get out!" until I passed an object running on the outside of the firewall. It was Scuzzy, Hexadecimal's, uh, thing.

"Scuzzy? Trying to find your mistress? You can't get in, can you? And I can't get out. Maybe we could help each other. Yes..." The idea of that struck me as very funny. So funny, I started to laugh. So funny I couldn't stop laughing. I was laughing so hard it hurt. And I couldn't stop. Just like I couldn't get out...
